YAA leads in advancing the development of young accountants

YAA's mission is to advocate for, enhance the development and promote the needs of young accountants, and to increase public awareness of the contribution young accountants make to society.

Apart from professional training, young accountants need exposure to other activities to enrich their life. Different accounting professional bodies are doing a great job individually of enhancing the professional development of accountants. However, in most cases, activities are organised by senior people in the profession and may not appeal to the younger generation. We aim to unite young accountants, encouraging them to organise activities among themselves and share their experiences. We want to found an association that belongs to young accountants.

You will get a better idea of what YAA does if we tell you what we are planning to do:

1. We plan to organise seminars inviting non-accounting people to tell us about the world outside the profession.
2. We plan to organise activities which will allow young accountants to meet more people outside their own firms.
3. We plan to arrange get-togethers with young groups from other professions to enhance young accountants' connections.
4. We plan to organise activities which were previously dominated by senior people in the profession denying young accountants the opportunity to participate.
5. We plan to encourage young accountants to contribute to society.
6. We plan to represent young accountants when we need to be heard.

We dare to organise any activities which we think are beneficial to young accountants. Why?

Because we are young.
